Programs/Levels of Play

Intro to Football
Designed to introduce our smallest flag football stars to the game. This program is geared towards 4 years olds and some recent 5 year olds depending on exposure to team sports. The first part of the session will utilize fun drills to teach some flag football basics and the second part will include a mini game. Basics such as staying within a field of play, pulling flags (and more importantly getting used to having their flags pulled), handing off, receiving a handoff and other skills will be taught. Teamwork and Sportsmanship will be emphasized. As the season progresses, the practice time will decrease and the game time will increase. Sport and Social Kids staff will manage all practices and games.

U6 age group
Players between the ages 5 and 6. We want to introduce the fundamentals of running, catching, and throwing the football as a team. Teams are coached by parents, however at this level staff referees not only officiate the game but also help teach and explain rules. 2 coaches can be on the field to help the players get in proper position. Score is kept however sportsmanship is the most important component. There are specific rules geared to this age to help create a positive experience and build confidence such as elimination of "no running zones" and "negative yardage plays." Smaller footballs will be utilized for better teaching of the basics.
Practice times are determined by the Coach and Team Parents and field space is available the day of the game if the team would like to practice immediately prior to their game.
